Osborne wins AMA 450 National on Loretta!
In the 450cc class we saw Zach Osborne claim the overall. However, in the first moto it was his teammate Jason Anderson who won the series. The Husqvarna pilot with number 21 started well and quickly managed to overtake the leading 'Suzuki-Army' in the form of Joey Savatgy and Frederik Noren. After passing these Suzuki gentlemen, he never looked back and rode smoothly to victory in the first moto.
Behind Jason Anderson, Zach Osborne, who started less well, fought past top performers such as Eli Tomac and Cooper Webb. This of course took a while and once we arrived in second place, Zach Osborne's teammate had flown. In the second moto Zach Osborne got away better, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna pilot had to tolerate Adam Cianciarulo in front of him in the first two laps. Zach Osborne then had a clear track and the man who showed himself very quickly in the first moto was able to ride to victory. This for Eli Tomac and HRC Honda pilot and 450 rookie Chase Sexton.
The Europeans in the 450 class did it with Marvin Musquin, who returned to competition after many months on the sidelines with an impressive fourth place in the first moto and a fifth place in the second moto. Without a doubt, a result that the Frenchman signed up for this weekend. Max Anstie on his HEP-Suzuki machine finished eleventh and tenth in the heats. In the daily total he finished one point behind his compatriot Dean Wilson, who managed to score a tenth place overall with a twelfth place and an eighth place.
