VIDEO: Arnaud Tonus gets ready for the restart!
The Swiss got off to a mediocre start in this year's Motocross World Championship. Two weeks before Matterley Basin he suffered a thumb injury and had to start with poor preparation and pain. Tonus scored a 14de place in the final standings and that was not what was expected. Things didn't go much better in Valkenswaard, with a 15de place is much less than you would expect from him.
You could say that the corona crisis came at a perfect time for him to give his injuries time to heal. With still a month to go, Arnaud Tonus is working hard to pick up the speed we are used to from him. In the video you see him working in the Dutch sand. The first MXGP race is on August 9. It is the start of a triptych in Kegums, Latvia. The second match is on Wednesday, August 12 and the third on Sunday, August 16. The layout of the circuit is constantly changed.
