Team Netherlands is not going to the Youth World Cup!
The KNMV has announced that it will not send a team to the FIM Junior World Championship in Greece this year. There has been uncertainty about the international events for some time. The EMX Youth has been canceled completely in 2020. The World Championship in Greece is still on the calendar, but the KNMV has decided not to send any riders, not as a team but also not individually!
A special decision, especially considering that there are riders who are now seeing their last chance to win in their class disappear. The cost analysis combined with the event in just one day has led the KNMV to this decision. They do not think it is responsible to make a heavy investment now, but immediately block the way for riders/teams/coaches who want to bear the costs themselves. Unfortunately not the first time, the Dutch federation also stayed away during the Supermoto of Nations despite having a backer for the event.
To be continued…..
