Vaccine could ensure major sporting events!
This morning, Minister De Jonge indicated in a letter to Parliament that major events must wait until there is a vaccine. “No one knows how long that will last. We hope for soon, of course, but a year or more is realistic," De Jonge reported.
Only when there is a vaccine against the coronavirus can major events be held in the Netherlands again. Until then, the danger is too great that the virus will revive. The Grand Prix of the Netherlands has already been held, but for the time being we do not see another World Championship coming to the Netherlands! It remains to be seen what the options are for an organization if the event will take place without an audience. This will not happen anytime soon in the Netherlands because the public (read paying spectators) has to provide the income!
