CALL: Do not see wildcrossing as an answer to closed circuits
It is the height of seduction for a motocross rider. Can't race anywhere because the vast majority of circuits close due to the corona virus, but you know a piece of forest, building land or other undeveloped land where you can easily complete your training.
We understand that you want to take advantage of this opportunity because there is almost nothing as effective in preparing for your next competition as motocross itself. However, this may not promote the popularity of our sport in the longer term, and therefore the choices and considerations that the government, provinces and municipalities make for us. However difficult it is, do not see wildcrossing as an answer to closed circuits.
We read the various reactions from the sport: ''It is wrong that children are simply allowed to play outside together by the RIVM. And it is unfortunate that this situation is occurring just when the circuits are in perfect condition again. And it hurts that we feel that motorcyclists who ride on the street do not do much differently than we do and are allowed to do so. And it gives a mixed feeling that the cashiers at the supermarkets are closer to your lips than the manager of the circuit''. We understand your feelings in this strange situation in which we have all found ourselves due to this virus. Unfortunately, things are no different and it is better not to go wildcrossing for our own 'gain'. So not that professional, not that representative of a (motorcycle) brand, not even that fanatical youth rider.
Let us be careful with our sport now.
