Yamaha wins prestigious Red Dot Award with Ténéré 700
Even without GPs, Yamaha wins prizes. The Ténéré 700 travel enduro and the industrial drone YMR-08 won the well-known Red Dot Award in the “Product Design 2020” category.
This is the ninth time in a row since 2012 that a Yamaha Red Dot Award has won. The Ténéré 700 travel enduro goes more towards rally raid competition motorcycles than what we saw before. After all, increasingly heavier and more comfortable travel enduros increasingly moved away from their sources of inspiration in competition. At the same time, rally raid engines became smaller and lighter.
The design concept of the Ténéré 700 brings together the off-road qualities of a pure off-road vehicle with the comfort of long journeys in remote areas. The Red Dot Design Awards, organized by the German Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, are considered one of the most prestigious design prizes in the world. Honda also won prizes. The super aerodynamic CBR1000RR-R also won the Red Dot Award.
