Brabec writes history with Dakar victory!
After winning 18 times in a row, KTM has to hand over victory in the Dakar Rally to Honda this year! In Saudi Arabia, Ricky Brabec managed to take victory, he is the first American winner in this famous rally. The last time a non-KTM won was in 2000 thanks to BMW rider Richard Sainct. In 1989, Honda won this rally for the last time thanks to Gilles Lalay. The final stage was won by Jose Ignacio Cornejo ahead of teammate Brabec and Toby Price. Paul Spierings is also the best Dutchman in this stage, he finishes the rally together with Mirjam Pol!
