BK Orp-le-Grand: Cyril Genot double in 250cc
A1M Motorsport Husqvarna rider Cyril Genot started as favorite in the 250cc. The talented Limburger met expectations with flying colors! He won each time by a wide margin.
In the first heat an excellent Mark Boot was 'best of the rest. The Belgian champion took the lead almost halfway through the race after he had passed fast starter Raivo Dankers. Despite a poor start, however, there was no stopping Genot, who took over command on the sixth lap.
In the restart, Cyril kept it simple with a strong series in which he led from start to finish. Nick Leerkes from Apeldoorn made many spectators reach for their program booklets in the second heat! After all, Leerkes occupied second place for many laps. Although the Lakerveld Racing driver ultimately had to settle for 4th place, he did give his calling card in Orp-le-Grand.
Boot was fourth at the start but crashed on the first lap. From 14th place he climbed to 6th, 5th inter after the strong Jérome Biets. With this, the MC Mikkola rider kept Raivo Dankers off the podium!
