Anthony Rodriguez comes on for Sven Van der Mierden
Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing has entered into an agreement with Anthony Rodriguez for the next three Grand Prix competitions. This agreement was reached partly thanks to the enthusiasm of Monster Energy Kemea Yamaha team owner Hans Corvers.
Rodriguez rode for this team last season but could not stay here for this year because he has reached the age limit for the MX2 class. The Venezuelan will replace the injured Sven van der Mierden within Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing in the next three races.
Fortunately, Sven is doing better again and is busy working on his recovery. Unfortunately, he is not yet fit enough to return to the world championship, so the team has decided to make the Yamaha material available to Rodriguez.
This weekend, Rodriguez will ride his first Grand Prix for Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing in Imola, Italy, followed by Sweden and Turkey. In addition to Rodriguez, Micha Boy de Waal will also start this weekend in the Italian Grand Prix.
