Prado back on pole, Geerts neatly third!
For the fourth time this year, Jorge Prado can start from pole position. The KTM rider won the qualifying race on the Orlyonok circuit ahead of Thomas Kjer Olsen and Jago Geerts, who is therefore the best Laaglander. Bas Vaessen is the Dutchman, the 21-year-old KTM UK rider crosses the finish line in eleventh place under very warm weather conditions.
The best start during qualifying goes to Tom Vialle, he takes the lead ahead of Darian Sanayei, Geerts and Prado. In the first lap Vialle made a mistake, allowing Sanayei to take the lead, but the American crashed moments later. This allows Geerts to end the first round as leader, but not much later there is Prado. The Spaniard was put under pressure for Geerts in the initial phase, but the Belgian was unable to regain the lead. When Prado distances himself, Kjer Olsen manages to take over second place from Geerts. The Dane tries to get the leader back but is unsuccessful. Prado wins ahead of Kjer Olsen and Geerts. Mitchell Evans crosses the finish line in fourth ahead of Michele Cervellin. Vaessen is the best Dutchman with eleventh place, Davy Pootjes (22nd) and Brent Van Doninck (23rd) are unable to qualify properly, but fortunately the points will only be distributed tomorrow.
