After years of anticipation, James Stewart is finally speaking out about his career as a professional athlete and the way he disappeared from the sport. Episodes one and two made by the guys at Seven can be viewed in full below.
James Stewart has not competed since July 23, 2016. He had also retreated from social media since an Instagram post on the eve of the 2017 season, leaving fans, the industry and the media guessing as to how James would proceed. Is he retired? Will he return to the matches? A few weeks ago, Stewart made himself heard again with a new video. In the video, posted under his clothing brand Seven, James talks about various topics. A rare glimpse into Stewart's personal life, in which he explains how to raise his two children, who are six months and two years old. Stewart also talks about racing with Ricky Carmichael, his days with Kawasaki and why it ended, the championship that sticks out the most to him, and much more.

Today Seven released part two of the conversation with James. In the second part of the video, Stewart talks about his training with Aldon Baker, his younger brother Malcolm, his father, his training facility, returning to Loretta Lynn's race, the pressure he had to overcome and much more. As open as he is, Stewart doesn't officially use the word retirement. However, he makes it clear in this video that he has transitioned to being a father and is no longer under the pressure of having to win all his life.
