Good comeback from GPR duo in Rhenen
The third race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross was all about the 'comeback' for the GPR MX Team. Almost two weeks ago, Rob van de Veerdonk had a hard crash during the KNMV ONK in Harfsen, which forced him to miss the EMX125 in France. Cameron Durow suffered an upper arm fracture during the EMX competition in Valkenswaard, he rode his first Dutch Masters of Motocross of this season in Rhenen. Kay de Wolf managed to take the day's victory at 'Circuit Kwintelooyen', Kjell Verbruggen is the leader in the standings.

In the timed training, Rob managed to qualify best with a thirteenth time. Cameron had hoped for more, but he can choose a spot behind the starting gate in Rhenen as sixteenth. Both riders get off to a good start in the first round. Cameron immediately finds a place in the top ten while Rob makes a mistake. Many places are lost due to an innocent slide. From 30th place, the Brabander has to work and he drives a great race. Despite the mandatory rest after the crash in Harfsen, a good pace is quickly found. From 30th place, the 16-year-old rider comes back very well to fifteenth place! Cameron rode in the top ten for almost the entire length of the race. He has to go deep because he has had to recuperate in recent months. A position is lost due to a mistake, but both the rider and the team are satisfied with an eleventh place!
Also in the second round it is Cameron who starts the race well with the Laurense Motors-Husqvarna. Once again he can start the race in the top ten, but halfway through he starts to feel tired. The pace has to be slowed down, with a fourteenth place, this heat is also scored very well. Rob's second heat started a little less well, but he completed the first lap in thirteenth place. His teammate has Rob in his sights, but on the slippery circuit he slips for a moment. Fortunately, he manages to stay in the points and fights back to fifteenth place. When entering the final lap, the JT Racing-clad motocross rider encounters a momentary obstacle as it enters the starting area. The position previously won is lost. Fortunately, Rob managed to recover in the last lap and crossed the finish line in fifteenth!
