Standing Construct KTM MXGP goes for Dunlop
Industry leading Standing Construct KTM today announced it is switching to Dunlop Geomax rubber for 2019. This season, Tim Mathys' team competed at Pirelli.
The three KTM 450SX-F engines will now be able to count on the very best materials from Dunlop. Standing Construct KTM's choice for the wide Dunlop Geomax range underlines the team's ambition to regularly deliver top performances at the highest level.
For 2019, Standing construct KTM teamed up with an impressive trio: the British Max Anstie, the Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff and the Italian Ivo Monticelli. The Belgian team will also benefit from technical support from the KTM factory. After a previously announced 'switch' from Pirelli to Dunlop by Ice One Racing, this is the second major winter transfer for the well-known brand with the 'yellow D'.
Standing Construct KTM manager Tim Mathys: “We are pleased to announce our switch to Dunlop. After extensive back-to-back testing, our riders were absolutely convinced of the potential of the Dunlop Geomax range. This test convinced us to enter into a long-term technical partnership. “
Wim Van Achter, Motorsport Manager at Dunlop Motorcycle Europe: “Standing Construct KTM is the second team to choose - after back-to-back tests between different tire manufacturers - to switch to Dunlop Geomax tires for 2019. Their decision therefore proves the success of our intensive development program in recent years. This saw Dunlop's entire MXGP range renewed.”
