Tyler Bowers a size too big Chemnitz
This weekend the third and fourth races of the ADAC SX Cup will be held in Chemnitz. The first evening in the 'Messe Chemnitz' was dominated by Tyler Bowers, the Kawasaki rider won the final by a wide margin ahead of fellow countryman Cole Martinez and Charles Lefrancois. The SX2 final was dominated by Julien Lebeau, the Diga Procross rider won with a safe lead over compatriot Francois Dore and Tom Koch finished third. Nolan Cordens managed to qualify for the final where he finished ninth.
Lefrancois manages to get the best start in the SX1 final, but the Team Twenty Suspension rider sees Bowers pass early in the race. The Kawasaki rider then no longer relinquishes this position. Martinez, the leader in the standings, manages to pass the fastest halfway through the 20-lap final. Martinez comes second ahead of Lefrancios. To the delight of the crowd, local hero Dominique Thury crosses the finish line in fourth place. He still has to work hard in the final phase to hold off Justin Starling. The American then finished fifth, but Jeffrey Meurs unfortunately did not qualify for the final. Unfortunately, Jens Getteman will not play due to an elbow injury sustained in Barcelona.
In the SX2 final, a Laaglander was in action thanks to Cordens and he managed to cross the finish line in ninth place. Lebeau controls the race and wins with a safe march over the unknown Dore. Despite the fact that Koch had to qualify through the last chance, he performed well. The Team Sarholz rider comes back very well and finishes third in the final.
