Kjell Verbruggen also joins the KNMV top sports project
15-year-old Kjell Verbruggen, who had his big breakthrough this year in the EMX125, will join Raivo Dankers and Raf Meuwissen in Sportcentrum Papendal. The KNMV announced Kjell today as a new addition to the top sports project that combines top sports and education.
In the CTO program (Centre for Top Sport and Education), young top athletes not only receive a solid sporting foundation in their specific discipline. The riders are also trained mentally, have a healthy attitude to life and of course also with the necessary attention to school goals. In January the boys will go to RedSand for their first KNMW winter internship for the new season.
With the arrival of Verbruggen it was also announced that Rick Elzinga and Brian van der Klij are leaving the CTO project. Kjell will start again next year in the EMX125 and the Dutch Masters of Motocross.
