Segers narrowly wins MCLB in Deerlijk ahead of Brackman on two-stroke!
In the MCLB federation it is not over after the championships. No, this federation will continue to offer motocross to its members until October 20 and 21! This weekend they were allowed to go to Deerlijk on a beautiful course with some fun and well-maintained jumping jumps.
On this course, Wietse Brackman and his motorcycle dealer Leon Sagaert by Xavier Beel showed off a new Husqvarna FC250. So a two-stroke and with it he went into battle with David Segers and the others on their 450cc machine. In the first heat it was the man on the two-stroke who managed to stay ahead of everyone! To the delight of the two-stroke petrol sniffers in the audience, Wietse Brackman stayed ahead of David Segers and Mattis Meersschout in this first heat.
In the second moto we saw David Segers leave in the lead. He immediately got Wietse Brackman in the wheel, but he shot himself in the foot with a small slide that denied him any chance of victory. This gave Standing Construct – Geecobikes KTM pilot David Segers the victory in the second round on a silver plateau. Wietse Brackman finished second and we saw Maarten Govaert cross the finish line in third place.
In non-championship matches, the overall victor in the MCLB will be crowned based on time. David Segers came out on top in this regard. In the first heat the KTM pilot finished just under six seconds, before winning the second heat with just over six seconds against Wietse Brackman. As a result, the man who appeared in Deerlijk on a two-stroke ended up 0.9 seconds shy of the overall victory. Jens Bleyaert was third on the podium.
In the MX2 class the overall victory went to Mattis Meersschout and in the Inters B the biggest palm went to Michiel Vercauteren.
