Americans dominate Vets MXdN, Belgians take bronze!
The annual Vets MX des Nations took place at Farleigh Castle this weekend. This high mass for EVO and classic car motocross brought a fantastic parade of celebrities to England. Team USA (John Down, Doug Dubach, Mike Brown, Ivan Tedesco) won the EVO class. The Belgian team (Jurgen Van Nooten, Danny Scheers, Filip Van Dijck, Laurent Lacasse) achieved a nice bronze!
In front of their own audience, the British EVO team with Kurt Nicoll, Phil Mercer, Mark Eastwood and Stephen Sword came second. There were also great individual performances from Billy Mackenzie - the fastest man of the weekend - and David Pingree on his fantastic Pro Circuit Kawasaki KX125.
In the Twin Shock class that competed entirely at Maico, Team Belgium (Jan Blanquart, Bjorn Verdoordt, Steven Peters, Michael Paulisssen) finished a creditable sixth.
This year's guest of honor was Ricky “Bad Boy” Johnson who received a lifetime achievement award! Our friends from MXvintage followed, of course, closely following this top competition. You can visit two beautiful photo galleries full of atmosphere, impressive motorcycles and big names
