Jeffrey Herlings spoils the Zwarte Cross audience!
A resounding victory by Jeffrey Herlings and a nice second place by Glenn Coldenhoff offered the large Zwarte Cross audience exactly what they had come for. With this, the Bullit also secured the Dutch title. AMA Superstar Malcolm Stewart had to settle for ninth place.
From pole, Herlings takes the best start ahead of Gautier Paulin, Coldenhoff, Sven van der Mierden and Max Anstie. In the woods Anstie manages to take over fourth place. Herlings distances himself from Paulin and after four laps the difference is almost ten seconds! Van de Mierden is now at odds with Maxime Desprey. The Frenchman manages to take over fifth place after the Hutten Metaal rider makes a mistake exiting the 'Loco Arena'. The top five are then stuck.
This will change in the final phase. Coldenhoff puts pressure on the Frenchman and after 30 minutes the IceOne Racing rider makes a mistake. He jumps next to the circuit and sees Anstie pass in addition to Coldenhoff. Herlings wins by no less than 45 seconds and thus secures the title. Coldenhoff comes second ahead of Anstie, Paulin and Gebben Racing driver Desprey. Van der Mierden finished in a very nice sixth place!
