DMofMX: Adam Sterry on pole in Lichtenvoorde
Tomorrow during the final of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross starts Adam Sterry from pole position. The F&H Racingdriver won the qualifying race on the 'De Schans' circuit today Lichtenvoorde. The Brit managed to win the match for Calvin Flanders en Brent Vandoninck. The leader in the standings, Iago Geerts, crossed the finish line in fourth ahead of Roan van de Moosdijk.
When the starting gate of the VAML from Vorden goes down, Sterry pulls his KX250F onto the rear wheel. The Brit takes the best start ahead of Micha Boy de Waal and Vandoninck. There is a crash in the first corner with Thomas Covington having to work his way to the front. Sterry comes out of the first round as leader ahead of De Waal, Vandoninck, Geerts and Marshall Weltin. However, the American falls silent and he is not happy about that, to say the least. His teammate De Waal also drops back while Flanders enters the top five. Sterry has a lead of about seven seconds at the front and this is no longer out of his hands. Flanders works its way up to second place ahead of Vandoninck, who manages to perform well. The battle for fourth place is between Geerts and Roan van de Moosdijk. The Yamaha riders do not spare each other, but it is the Belgian who manages to stay ahead of the Dutchman.
