Tough British GP for the F&H Racing Team.
The ninth Grand Prix of the FIM MX2 World Championship was difficult for the F&H Racing Team. Ruben Fernández-Garcia was the best of the green trio and managed to score thirteen points. Jed Beaton only scored in the first heat, where he finished eighth. Adam Sterry knew due to his minimal preparation that it would be a tough job in front of his own audience. The 22-year-old rider only competed in the first heat and scored twelfth place. The victory went to Pauls Jonass, he won both heats.
On Saturday, Jed managed to qualify sixth on the circuit, which was completely new to him. Ruben crosses the finish line in tenth place, while Adam crashes on the first lap after a good start and goes to the starting gate in 25th place. When the starting gate goes down, Ruben manages to get off to a great start. He comes out of the first corner in third place and manages to hold this position for more than ten minutes. Then Covington, Vlaaderen and Kjer Olsen pass by. Despite his inferior starting position, Adam manages to start in the top ten. He has to fight, but supported by his home crowd he manages to stay in the top nine for more than thirty minutes. In the final phase it was tough and Adam dropped back to twelfth place. Ruben gave too much in the initial phase and he crosses the finish line in thirteenth place. Jed didn't get off to a good start, but he got up to operating temperature later in the race and managed to work his way up to seventh place. Once there, the Leatt-clad rider wants to attack Larranaga. That goes wrong and both riders fall. Fortunately, Jed can continue quickly and cross the finish line in eighth place.
Overwhelmed by the heat, Adam did not start the second heat. Jed and Ruben both get off to a good start. Jed immediately joins the top while Ruben comes tenth from the first full lap. In the pursuit of fifth man Flanders, things go wrong with the Australian who falls on a big jump. He watches the match while the first aid attends to him. This allows Ruben to take ninth place for a while, but then he has to choose his own pace. This drops him back to sixteenth place, but fortunately he manages to finish both heats in the points.

There is not much time to reflect on this difficult weekend. The team truck quickly travels back to Moordrecht and, after a short 'pit stop', continues to Saint Jean d'Angely where the next GP will be held next week.
