Jeremy Martin suffers serious back injury in Muddy Creek crash!
You already read it the match report and you also saw the images of the crash. But now we also know which injury Jeremy Martin suffered in this crash.
The Geico Honda pilot has suffered a cracked vertebra. This means that there is no nice fault line. The L1 vertebra is, so to speak, cracked, somewhat crumbled or split open by the force of the impact. Fortunately, the youngest of the Martin brothers felt immediately after the impact that something was wrong and remained motionless and thus did not cause any unnecessary damage. For the time being, the young man has feeling in all his limbs and if the operation, which is scheduled for tomorrow, goes well, he will soon be back on his own two feet next to his bed as the first step towards his recovery. For now, his inactivity is estimated at two months.
Jeremy suffered a burst fracture of his L1 vertebrae today at Muddy Creek. He has full mobility and is fully conscious. He will be meeting with a neurosurgeon specialist tomorrow morning to further review his condition.
