Best season performance for John Cuppen.
Under great weather conditions, John Cuppen managed to score well during the fourth race of the European 300cc Championship. At the Matterly Basin circuit, near Winchester, the KTM rider managed to take twelfth and thirteenth places. In the daily rankings the Brabander finished thirteenth, in the standings he rose to nineteenth place. The victory went to Brad Anderson, the Briton is also the new leader in the standings.
After the training sessions, John is not satisfied with the fifteenth training time and the Janssen Products Racing rider therefore starts enthusiastically for the first round. It takes some pushing and pulling, but the first round is completed in tenth place. However, due to a small mistake he loses three places, but he recovers later in the race. After more than twenty minutes of competition, the multiple IMBA champion can make up two places again. Eleventh place seems to be for the Limburg team, but Cencioni passes in the last lap. John crosses the finish line in twelfth position, scoring his best result of the season.
The start of the second heat is not good, a mistake means that John has to start the race in the back field. Fortunately, the riding goes well and John manages to drive neatly to the front. It looks like he will enter the top ten. In the last round John tries. However, this attack does not go well because John is unbalanced and barely manages to keep his KTM on the track. Cencioni is quick to take twelfth place in the last round. The rider from Escharen finished thirteenth in this heat and also in the daily rankings.
