Eric Geboers was trained by my dad for years. We celebrated world titles in the kitchen. I was allowed to ride the motorcycle with him and eat hamburgers with Dad. Because of him I wanted and got a BMX for my communion. Motocross hero for ever. #rip strength to family.

Terrible news about former motocross rider and 5-time world champion Eric Geboers. Drowned while trying to save a dog that had jumped from the ship. He was the first world champion in 3 classes (125, 250 and 500) https://t.co/ToA6xhC1iM

My vivid memory of the young Eric Geboers was the duels with Malherbe, Harry Everts and Jobé in the match in Stekene # RIP #EricGeboers
