Will Todd Waters fill in for Brian Bogers at HRC-Honda?
At HRC-Honda they are now actively looking for a solution Brian Bogers remains unavailable for even longer. Our colleagues at Gatedrop have heard that Australian Todd Waters may ride as a substitute for HRC Honda in Latvia on May 12 and 13. The likeable Australian has MXGP experience - with Ice One Husqvarna in 2014 and 2015, and rode for Honda in Australia and New Zealand this season.
It is not clear how many laps Waters would ride for HRC Honda as he originally planned to race the US Nationals as a privateer. Whether it is a test that can lead to more, or a good warm-up for the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross series remains to be seen! According to an informed source, Todd is only in Europe to test the Honda factory engine. Before that he was in America to prepare for the outdoors. Three years ago, Waters finished ninth in the MXGP World Championship.
