Steven Van Kempen to mxmag.nl
The largest Belgian MX website, MXMag.be, has signed a multi-year agreement with Steven Van Kempen. Van Kempen will start working as editor-in-chief for MXMag.nl from January 1
MXMag had a very positive 2017. Thanks to even more complete reporting, including extra attention to amateur motocross in Flanders, the digital off-road platform continues to grow steadily. It is expected that this year will reach almost 2 million unique sessions and double the number of page views.
Steven Van Kempen is also known as a pioneer in the field of digital motorcycle media in the Benelux. Steven was the founder and driving force behind Hotlap (2001) and CrossXL (2011). In addition, the North Brabander is active in guiding riders and teams in the field of communication and competition contracts through Kemco Sports PR & Management. As part of the intensive collaboration between Van Kempen and MXMag, Crossxl.nl will be merged into MXMag.nl from January 1, 2018
Steven Van Kempen: “In Belgium, MXMag has developed a beautiful and unique quality project in which collaboration is central. That really appeals to me. So I'm really looking forward to putting MXMag.nl on the map in the Netherlands! After many wonderful years with Crossxl.nl, this is a fantastic new challenge. My thanks go to all Crossxl employees, visitors and advertisers. We are convinced that they will be pleasantly surprised by MXMag.nl”
Olivier Evrard, owner of MXMag: “We have known Steven for a long time as a media colleague, while in the Netherlands he no longer needs an introduction! We are therefore very happy and proud of this partnership. In recent years we have regularly published Dutch news on our Dutch-language site, but we now want to go much further. With international top players such as Jeffrey Herlings, Glenn Coldenhoff and Brian Bogers, many up-and-coming talent such as Kay Karssemakers, Ivano Van Erp and Kay De Wolf, the Dutch Masters of Motocross, two strong motorsport associations and many passionate practitioners and clubs, the Netherlands definitely plays a leading role in Europe . For that reason alone, MXMag.nl deserves all our attention and a passionate editor-in-chief!”
