BMB proposes classification of new classes!
At the proposal of the motocross working group, the Board of Directors approved the new class division for the new 2018 motocross season. The permitted cylinder capacities have also been adjusted and will be identical as in the Netherlands (KNMV).
The following classes will be provided in 2018:
- – Youth
- – Promises 125
- – Juniors 250
- – Juniors 500
- – Seniors 250
- – Seniors 500
- – Nationals 250
- – Nationals 500
- – Inters 250
- – Inters 500
- – Sidecars
- - Quads
The cylinder capacities are recorded as follows:
- – 125cc: for machines up to 125cc 2-stroke
- – 250cc: for machines up to 250cc 2-stroke and 4-stroke
- – 500cc: for machines from 251cc to 500cc 2-stroke and 4-stroke
The training and competitions will again take place per cylinder capacity.
Please see the full class breakdown, age limits, number plate colors and course numbers below. Please note, it will not be possible to record race numbers by telephone. During the month of November, a new electronic system will be introduced for the application for the 2018 permit, whereby a rate number can be recorded during the application procedure. Riders who had a permit in 2017 will be able to keep their race number until 15/2/2018.
