Nationals MX2
'Local hero' Ian De Sweemer had many supporters behind the fence in his own Wachtebeke. Yet the KTM rider failed to take the series victories in his own municipality. It was Walloon Brabander Gordano Natale who showed himself strongest in both heats at Domain Puyenbroeck, each time ahead of De Sweemer and Jérome Benonit.
In the Nationals 125, the overall victory went to BK leader Killigan Delroeux. De Waal won ahead of Indonesian Delvintor Alfarizi and Nicolay Malinov. Ian De Sweemer took the overall victory in his own Wachtebeke and was flanked on the podium by Jens Hendrickx and Michael Bruyninckx. Gordano Natale took the MX1 overall victory. Jérôme Benonit and Donny Schmidt were allowed on stage.
Youth 85cc
There was no doubt who was the strongest 85cc rider in Wachtebeke. That honor went to Avo Tack. Tack outclassed his fellow riders and authoritatively won both heats. In the first heat this happened with a lead of over 21′ over Ugo Moors. Thomas Claro came third. In the revival, Tack would prove supreme. The West Flemish won 37 seconds ahead of Moors. Moors was able to hold off the pressing Thomas Claro at the finish. In that order, Tack, Moors and Claro were also on the final podium.
Juniors
Despite their lighter engines, the MX2 riders turned out to be the strongest Juniors in Wachtebeke. It was Lucas Derycke who won the first round ahead of MCLB rider Gilles Colanbeen and Thomas Delvoy. Mavric Pichrit was the fastest MX1 rider in 4th place. In the restart, Lucas Derycke again proved to be the fastest. Caine Van Pottelberg and Gilles Colanbeen followed in 2 and 3. Pichrit again became the best MX1 rider in fourth place.
The overall victory in the Juniors MX2 logically went to Lucas Derycke ahead of Gilles Colanbeen and Caine Van Pottelberg. In the Juniors MX1, Mavric Pichrit won ahead of Jonas Dockx and MCLB rider Pieter Swertvaegher.
Experts
Just like on the Keiheuvel, there was no limit to Jan Blanquaert in Puyenbroeck. The veteran from Laarne won both heats. In the first heat Blanquaert even had more than 32 seconds. ahead of second man Dimitri Lemercier, Frédéric Brumenil came third. In the second heat, Brumenil finished second ahead of MCLB rider Benny D'Haemers.
Blanquaert became the deserved overall winner in the Experts MX2 ahead of Dimitri Lemercier and MCLB rider Nico Vander Elst. On the MX1 podium, Frédéric Brumenil was flanked by MCLB riders Benny D'Haemers and Heikki Dult.
Promises 125cc
On paper, the BMB Promises appeared to be at a disadvantage against their MCLB counterparts. After all, some MCLB U250s were on a 1F machine. In practice, the BMB drivers turned out to be a size too big for their MCLB colleagues. Lars Der Boven set the fastest time in the morning training sessions. The Heylen Vastgoed driver preceded Romain Delbrassine and Ilan Heirwegh. Wannes Van de Voorde only finished fourth, just over 18 second behind Der Boven. In the heats themselves, BK leader Van de Voorde quickly freed the opposition from all possible illusions. Van de Voorde emerged from the start skirmishes as the leader and would remain that way for the entire moto. Der Boven, Delbrassine and Lagrou followed behind him. If Der Boven seemed to be able to threaten Van de Voorde for a moment, it would have been the rider from Sint-Katelijne-Waver who took the lead. At the line the Denicol rider had an 17 second lead over Der Boven, who in turn was XNUMX seconds ahead. had an advantage over Delbrassine.
In the second round there was again no problem against Wannes Van de Voorde. The Denicol rider demonstrated again from start to finish. At the finish Van de Voorde appeared to have a lead of more than 20 seconds. to have on Lars Der Boven. Der Boven fought his way from fourth place to second place, at the expense of Romain Delbrassine, who had to accept the Flemish superiority. The final podium consisted entirely of BMB riders with Van De Voorde, Der Boven and Delbrassine.
Seniors
The BMB Seniors rode for the occasion together with the Masters of the MCLB. And it was former BMB champion Christophe Hempte who showed why he is the Master of the MCLB Masters. Hempte won both heats. In the first heat the MCLB rider preceded Julien Tarin and Alain Voermans. In the second round Voermans became runner-up ahead of the other MCLB celebrity, Jurgen Paepe.
Hempte became the logical winner at the MCLB Masters ahead of Jurgen Paepe and Henk Godderis. In the Seniors MX2, only Jean-Michel Henaut and Kees Sep were at the start and in that order also on the podium. The overall victory in the Seniors MX1 went to Alain Voermans, Julien Tarin and Nikki Margetic.
