Original KTM hero Gennady Moiseev passed away
Last Sunday, three-time motocross world champion Gennady Moiseev passed away at the age of 69 after a long illness. The Russian MX legend gave KTM its first motocross world title in 1974, in the 250cc. Moiseev then won the title twice more in 1977 and 1978
Moisseev was known as a passionate sportsman. In addition to his world titles, he also has 14 GP victories and an MX des Nations (1978) title to his name. After his active career he became manager for the Russian MXdN team. In 2000 he became chairman of the Russian Motorcycle Federation (MFR). The MXMag editorial team would like to express its sincere support to his family, friends and all those who loved him.
