Kenny Vandueren wins BMB Lommel
It was sweltering hot today during the Sidecar MX GP in Lommel. The heavy sandbox received very little support from the solo riders this weekend. Kenny Vandueren convincingly won the MX1 support class. Vandueren dominated from start to finish in both heats. Dylan Veghel came second ahead of Keanu du Tré.
Unlike the sidecars, the MX1 men were spared a bit in terms of the length of the race: twice 15 minutes plus one lap. In similar circumstances, Vandueren finished 5th last month during the EMX300 in Ottobiano and the absolute favorite finished it off smoothly!
The sidecar GP in Lommel became mainly a Dutch affair. The Dutch combination Daniel Willemsen-Robbie Bax won the first round by force majeure, Julian Veldman-Ben Van Den Bogaart came second. However, the GP went to Etienne Bax-Nicolas Musset, who finished third in the first round. Bax-Musset also take over the lead in the World Cup standings. They are 6 points ahead of Valentin Giraud-Elvijs Mucenieks. For a complete report, we refer you to the sidecar specialists at www.sidecarcross.be
