Vlm Lummen by BrentMxPics!
The VLM bus headed to Lummen last weekend, a competition organized by the Fun MX team. The team did everything they could during the night to remove the mud from the circuit after the rain so that the race could still go ahead on Sunday. But due to the rain on Saturday, many inters were deterred, which meant that there was only a meager turnout. 16 inters at the start, Greg Smets managed to take the holeshot in the first series and started the race as leader ahead of Jonathan Banken, Kevin Schellens and Sven Wouters. Greg made a mistake a little later, losing a number of places and having to get back in the chase. Now it was Banken who took control of the match and finished it as leader. Sven Wouters, who was in the lead in the MX1-3, had to give up his 1st place to Greg Smets in the final phase. In the MX1-3 it was Greg Smets who won the 1st series ahead of Sven Wouters and Rene Rannikko. In the MX2, the series victory for Banken was ahead of Frederik Daenen and Kristof Scheynen. In the B's it was Bart Vanhove who won ahead of Raf Belmans and Jelle Meeus. Also in the 2nd series it was Greg Smets who started first, but moments later he had to let Banken pass him by. Sven Wouters came up strong to take over 2nd place from Greg Smets, but was unable to do so and had to settle for 3rd place. In the MX1-3 it was Greg Smets who also won the 2nd series ahead of Sven Wouters and Rene Rannikko. In the MX2 it was Banken who also won the 2nd series ahead of Daenen and Jelle Verbruggen. In the B's it was Jelle Meeus who won the 2nd series ahead of Bart Vanhove and Raf Belmans. The day's victory in the MX1-3 went to Greg Smets ahead of Wouters and Rannikko. In the MX2 the day's victory was for Banken, ahead of Daenen and Verbruggen. In the B's it was Bart Vanhove who won the day ahead of Belmans and Meeus. BrentMxPics was also on site and came home with this photo gallery.
