Ryan Dungey wins and Shaun Simpson finishes fourth in Unadilla
Unadilla was the place to be for the tenth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. But this time too there was little to do against 450 Class leader Ryan Dungey who won the two series. In the 250 Class we did get a surprising winner with Joey Savatgy who managed to take the victory ahead of duo Musquin-Martin who are in full battle for the title in the 250 Class.

Ryan Dungey also took his fifth final win of the season with a double series victory. Justin Barcia finished second with a second and fourth place, but his deficit to the Red Bull KTM rider has already increased to 79 points. So there is a very good chance that Ryan Dungey will win his third 450 Class title next weekend during the Utah National. Trey Canard took the third podium place, which was also his first of the season.
A very striking performance in Unalilla came from Scotsman Shaun Simpson, who won the Belgian MXGP Grand Prix last weekend. It was Simpson's very first National and he performed well with a fourth and eighth place in the heats and fell just outside the podium with a fourth place. Fifth place in the final standings went to Ken Roczen who crashed together with Christophe Pourcel at the start of the first series and did not get further than a 16th (Roczen) and 23rd (Pourcel) place. But both pilots managed to put this right in the second series by finishing second and third behind winner Ryan Dungey.

250 class
By finishing second twice in the series, Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Joey Savatgy takes the overall win in the National of Unadilla. It was Savatgy's very first 250 Class National win of his career. Second place went to Red Bull KTM rider Marvin Musquin, who crashed in the first series because he collided with the car in front and therefore did not get further than fourth place. But Musquin recovered in the second series and took the win and the necessary points in the fight for the championship. The leader in this championship Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha rider Jeremy Martin won the first series but also finished in the second series where he was only finished fifth. In the standings with only two games to go, Frenchman Marvin Musquin makes up two points on leader Jeremy Martin. The difference is now only two points in Martin's favor, so it promises to be an exciting finish in the 250 Class.
