European Youth Championship: Kay Karssemakers realizes the supremacy of Constantin Piller!
In Randers, Denmark this weekend the European Youth Championship qualifying points were achieved in the North-West region. On a beautiful circuit with a surface comparable to that of Rhenen, perhaps slightly harder in some places, this was a race in which both sandblasters and concrete eaters had a chance of victory. Belgians who took their chance were in the 65cc class Liam Evert & Yoran Moens and in the 85cc Tallon Verhelst.

As in the GPs, European Championships are also held during the youth qualified on Saturday on the basis of a qualifying series. In this heat it was immediately clear that Kay Karssemakers feels good on the Danish circuit and he won the qualification ahead of Constantin Piller and Lucas Bruhn. Liam Everts qualified 12th and Yoran Moens 16th.
Op Sunday there was also nothing to do against Karssemakers, in the first heat he won with no less than 16 seconds ahead of the German Cato Nickel and Kay's compatriot Sem de Lange. Championship leader Constantin Piller finished 5th, Liam Everts 13th and Yoran Moens 17th. In the second moto we once again had a great performance from Kay Karssemakers, he completed his perfect weekend with this moto victory. Constantin Piller crossed the finish line second and Liam Everts took very important points and crossed the line in third place. Yoran Moens had a difficult heat and finished 22nd. In the daily rankings it is Kay Karssemakers who wins ahead of Cato Nickel and Constantin Piller.

Once again a large field of participants in the 85cc and therefore two groups to train and compete in qualify. Tallon Verhelst, who was in group A, qualified extremely well. After his crash in Rhenen, the Belgian still had some pain in his arm, but pain or no pain, he went for it and finished fourth. The qualifying series was won by Anton Nagy ahead of Christopher Mills and Brian van Klij. In group B it was Mikkel Haarup who won the qualifying series ahead of Rick Elzinga and Arvid Luning.
In first heat Once again it was the Dane Mikkel Haarup who came out on top, ahead of Rick Elzinga and Anton Nagy. Tallon Verhelst achieved a 13th place. Also in the second heat it was Mikkel Haarup who won ahead of Rick Elzinga, this time third place went to Petr Polak from the Czech Republic. Verhelst again finished 13th behind an entire train of Sweden. Of course it is Mikkel Haarup who takes the day's victory ahead of Rick Elzinga, Petr Polak had enough on the podium with his 4th and 3rd place. Verhelst, who finished 13th in two heats, finished 12th overall.
With one race to go, Liam Everts' qualification is almost certain and we will see him at work during the Latvian GP. Tallon Verhelst still has to try to make up 8 points on the Swede Anton Nagy. The last race will also take place in Denmark at the Morso circuit.
