No Nationals for Ryan Villopoto!!!
Ryan Villopoto will not be able to start in the Nationals this year and will therefore not be able to defend his outdoor title. Villopoto was already struggling with a knee injury during the Supercross season and yet it could not stop him from taking his fourth title in a row. But it now appears that surgery is necessary and Villopoto will therefore have to miss the upcoming outdoor season completely.
Ryan Villopoto: “This is certainly not the news I wanted to hear from the doctors. We have worked hard to get into a position to win the championship for the Monster Energy Kawasaki team. But now that we cannot compete in the Nationals this summer, this has become a major disappointment. Coming off a really good feeling after winning the fourth Supercross title in a row. I now know that I will have to spend my time this summer on rehabilitation after my knee operation.”
