Husqvarna also available in the USA from 2015!
It was predictable, but it will actually happen next year. From the Monster Energy Cup, which will be held this year on October 18, a Husqvarna motorcycle will be at the start! The current Rockstar Energy KTM team, consisting of reigning 250cc West Coast Supercross Champion Jason Anderson, Davi Millsaps and Joey Savatgy, will ride Husqvarna bikes next year. The first rider they signed for this is Jason Anderson. It has not yet been confirmed whether Davi and Joey will follow suit.
What we can say with certainty is that Jason Anderson will compete on the 450cc Husqvarna. 2015 will undoubtedly be a year of adjustments for the brand new West Coast SX champion. Not only will he have to adapt to the new engine (Husqvarna would start developing separately from KTM in 2015), but he will also have to adapt to racing with the big 450cc boys. What is also interesting is that because this is Husqvarna's first competitive year in America, they can make use of the "AMA works exemption rule". Which means that they do not have to sell a minimum number of motorcycles on the American market before they can enter competition.
