Villopoto and Seely win in Seattle
Ryan Villopoto is heading to his fourth consecutive SX. After having a difficult match last week due to illness, he put things back in order this time in Seattle. He took the holeshot and did not relinquish the lead for 20 laps in his home race. He had hoped to win the title here, but he will have to wait another week for that. Stewart finished second and Dungey finished third. With 2 games to go, Villopoto now has a comfortable lead of 48 points. Normally he will be able to win the title in two weeks in East Rutherford.
With the Lites, Cole Seely tries to keep things exciting until Las Vegas. In this penultimate competition for the West Coast class, Seely won ahead of Anderson and Justin Hill. Dean Wilson tried to displace Seely from the lead in the early stages but made a mistake. He eventually finished fourth. Anderson now has a 7 point lead over Seely with 1 match to go.
Next week there will be a weekend of rest for the SX riders before entering the final 2 races.
