Team Belgium wins Coupe de l'avenir!!
What our GP toppers just failed to achieve last week in Lommel, was successful for the young wolves this weekend during the Coupe de l'avenir. On the wet and treacherous circuit of Nismes, team Belgium was a convincing winner ahead of team France and team Netherlands.
The Belgian team, which consisted of Yerki Janvier, Damon Graulus and Brent Vandoninck, wins the trophy back from France. Yerki Janvier was the star in Nismes with series victories in both heats, with which he also became the individual winner. Damon Graulus finished second individually with a fourth and a second place. Brent Vandoninck had to retire after four laps in the first moto and finished 10th in the final moto.
A disqualification of Donny Bastemeijer in the final round due to external assistance cost the Netherlands second place in the final standings
