Tommy Searle also in MX1 with CLS Kawasaki
Tommy Searle will remain loyal to Team Floride Kawasaki Monster Energy Pro Circuit in 2013 when he switches to the MX1 World Championship. Good news for Kawa as Honda and Suzuki were also working hard on 'Tommygun'.
Following his thirteenth career GP win on home soil at Matterly Basin last Sunday, Searle is now the third most successful British GP rider of all time. Since his return to the World Championship after two years in America Tommy, Searle has become an absolute top rider in MX2.
At the Motocross of Nations in France last year, Tommy showed what he is capable of on a 450F. This year he will also ride a KX450F-SR Kawasaki during the MXoN in Lommel. Searle signed a two-year MX1 contract with his current team Floride Kawasaki Monster Energy Pro Circuit. The team will be based in the Netherlands alongside the MX2 team, led by team boss Jean Jacques Luisetti and technical director Harry Nolte.
Tommy Searle: “I'm very happy to continue with Kawasaki, I rode a lot of my amateur career with them. I really like the KX450F-SR and it was a big decision for me, I have stressed during the last few days as it was a big decision in my career. I love the team, but the battle will be even tougher in MX1! I trust everyone in the team and I'm sure we can achieve a great result. I expect to fight for victory every weekend. It will be my first experience in 450, but we have all winter to work hard and be ready for the first GP.”
