Is Pourcel part of 'les bleus' after all?
Just over a week before the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations in Saint-Jean d'Angely the fever rises France. The French want to win 10 years after their first win (in Namur 2001) would love a second overall victory in the “Nations” books and preferably for their own audience.
The pressure is on FFM national coach Oliver Robert is therefore immense. Quite a few French insiders have advocated a selection of these in recent days Christophe Pourcel. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider showed in recent GPs that he is far from written off. Especially now France's MX1 rider Steven Frossard is struggling with health problems, Pourcel's chances of selection seem to increase day by day.
Olivier Robert will finally make the decision on Monday. But who would dare bet against Pourcel to be part of the French team when he takes the podium again in Fermo on Sunday? Or in other words, can Olivier Robert afford to leave Pourcel aside?
