GP Portugal MX2: Roczen on pole!
The way Ken Roczen took pole this afternoon in Agueda left little to the imagination. The German teenager is and remains the absolute reference in the MX2, even with a poor start. Tommy Searle, who complained about the slippery surface and the lack of grip in some places, came second ahead of Arnaud Tonus and Gautier Paulin. Nicolas Aubin, third in the MX2 World Championship in 2008, finally seems to be on his way back.
Jeffrey Herlings was sixth at the start. He managed to climb to third place halfway through the race, but in the right after the finish The Bullet crashed and had to settle for sixth place. After a dramatic start in 22nd, Joël Roelants managed to climb to 11th place. With a very solid Coldenhoff at 12 and Nick Triest at 13, there was a lowland trio just outside the top 10.
