Herlings and Bobryshev win in Varsseveld
Jeffrey Herlings was lord and master in Varsseveld during the third round of the KNMV ONK MX2. The Brabander won both heats, each time with a considerable lead ahead of Joël Roelants. Glen Coldenhoff confirmed with two third places. The Finn Harri Kullas finished fourth ahead of Mike Kras. Herlings leads after 3 laps in the ONK MX2 ahead of Roelants and Kullas.
Among the big guns of the ONK MX1, the victory went to Evgeny Bobryshev. The Russian won both heats ahead of Marc de Reuver. Kristof Salaets finished third in the first heat. In the second round the Bronze went to Herjan Brakke. Salaets and de Reuver flanked Bobryshev on the podium. Although he did not race in Varsseveld, Ken De Dycker still leads the ONK standings. Albeit with a narrow margin of four points over Brakke. De Reuver is virtual third.
Bas Verhoeven did not start in Varsseveld. The Brabander broke his tibia during training and will also have to miss the next two ONK matches.
Among the women, the victory in Varsseveld went to the German Larissa Papenmeier. She won both series. In the final standings she precedes Mariëlle de Mol and Brenda Wagemans.
Davy Pootjes was the strongest in the ONK 85cc. Pootjes won both heats.
