Clément Desalle 11th in Sportsman of the year
Last night the Sportsman, Sportswoman and Team of the Year were announced in Belgium. Cyclist Philippe Gilbert won in the 'Sportsman' category, Kim Clijsters won in the women's category, Clément Desalle saw his vice world title in MX1 rewarded with an 11th place. Kenny Belaey, the 2010 world bicycle trial champion, finished 16th. In the team of the year category, the boys' 4X400m athletics relay won, the Belgian MXoN team of Joël Smets, second in Thunder Valley, finished eighth, with equal points compared to the Fed Cup Team in women's tennis.
