Hansen on his way to Super-X overall victory
Rain and mud did not stop Josh Hansen from further conquering the Australian Super-X. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider won both series in Dunedin. Jake Moss came in second, Tye Simmonds third. However, it was very exciting between Simmonds and Moss. JDR KTM rider Simmonds came second in the first heat and had to give up on Moss in the last lap of the second final. In the standings, Hansen now has a 46 point lead over Jay Marmont.
In the Lites class it was exciting in the first final. Rock Star Suzuki rider Matt Moss spent the entire race battling with Steven Clarke, also on Suzuki. The Briton eventually passed Moss in the penultimate corner. PJ Larsen, the championship leader, finished third. However, Moss put things in order in the second final with a dominant victory. Moss also won the final score. Arsen remains in the lead, but Moss has come back to within 4 points, Ryan Marmont is third.
The penultimate round of the Australian Super-X will take place next weekend.
