SX Schijndel: Finals for Kras and Van De Ven
The Dutch indoor cross races took off this weekend in Schijndel! Rinus Van De Ven (Saturday) and Mike Kras (Sunday) each won a final. In the overall standings, both men were first on Sunday evening with equal points, but Kras became the proverbial King of Schijndel with his win on the second day. Shannon Terreblanche (3-4) came third ahead of the German Domique Thury and the Belgian Jurgen Wybo.
Maurice Klijn of the Rabbit Racing Kawasaki Team was also fast in Schijndel, but the sympathetic rider from Hardinxveld had an unfortunate fall during timed training on Saturday and injured his wrist. Examination made it clear that Maurice did not break anything, but will have to rest for three weeks with a serious bruise. In the 85cc large wheels, Rabbit Racing achieved success with Jordi Van Nobelen, Nancy Van de Ven (Rinus' sister) won the three series in the 85cc Small Wheels.
