BK Enduro: spectacle in Esneux?
The Enduro Ourthe-Amblève in Esneux will only be in its third edition tomorrow, but in that short period it has already become a permanent fixture on the BK Enduro calendar. Not surprising because the driving force behind this competition is also the promoter of the BK Enduro: Thierry Klutz.
In 2010, Esneux is once again the most public-friendly stage on the BK Enduro calendar. In the center of Esneux, spectators can enjoy the necessary side entertainment and the Xtreme special is located a few dozen meters from the service park. An Xtreme special with sewer pipes and boulders will also resemble a Trial non-stop.
In addition to the Xtreme special in Esneux, participants will also be presented with a special in Plainevaux. The Inters and Beloften will complete four laps of 9 km from 70 am. A novelty in Esneux is the introduction of transponders to ensure smoother processing of the results.
Now that Jean-François Goblet has won the World Cup final in Noirétable, France, it will be interesting to see what the pecking order of the Belgian enduro top will look like in the absence of the patron. From the Flemish side we can perhaps expect something from Roel Verpoorten again in the E1. Considering the trials history of the HM Honda rider, the Xtreme special should suit him. In the E3 class, Wim Vanderheyden has been involved in a title battle with Kevin Gauniaux for an entire season. The Liège Gas Gas driver currently leads with a 6-point lead.
The center of Esneux can be reached via the E40 (from Brussels) and E313 (from Antwerp) motorways. In Liège, follow the direction E25 Luxembourg until exit 41 (Tilff-Hamoir) after which you follow the direction Esneux.
