June 13: Riders can vote by proxy!
Early federal elections will take place on June 13. The second race of the MX Pro Series will also take place in Kester on that day. Of course, Flanders' most beautiful event will continue as usual. Riders and officials do have the option to cast their vote by giving a proxy (Article 147bis Election Code). This allows the proxy holder to vote for the proxy granter. Adjustments to electoral legislation between 2002 and 2009 have greatly relaxed the granting of proxies.
From now on, proxy can be given to any other voter. Each voter may only receive 1 proxy. The power of attorney form is easy to complete and only a certificate needs to be added. On the day of the vote, the proxy holder must be in possession of the completed and signed proxy form with the accompanying certificate, his own convocation letter and identity card in order to be able to exercise the proxy at the polling station of the proxy granter.

- certificate for the officials
Please note: when electoral legislation is strictly applied, this certificate can only be issued by the employer. The BMB cannot be regarded as an employer in this regard and cannot therefore be held liable if this certificate is not accepted by the competent authorities.
