BK Trial: Warenghien wins in Bertrix
Last Sunday the BK Trial started in Bertrix, Luxembourg. The victory at the Inters went to Maxime Warenghien. Gas Gas rider Warenghien shared the podium with two fellow competitors, Arnaud Dermine and Maxime Mathy. The dominance of Junior World Championship rider Warenghien was not as great as expected. At the finish the difference with Dermine was only 2 points. The German Pascal Bakkes finished fourth, although out of the rankings. Julien Rouselle finished 5th and last Inter.
At the Nationals there were more people at the start, including quite a few foreign riders. Manuel Mathy and the British James Duxbury finished on equal points. However, Mathy's flawless final round was decisive and earned him the day's victory. Olivier Castreuil came third ahead of Benjamin Michiels and Nicolas Puttemans. The trialists will be back in action on Sunday in Warnant, where the Mémorial Philippe Delwiche will be held.
