World Cup Indoor Enduro: Blazusiak takes the title in Vigo
The Pole Tadeusz Blazusiak won the Spanish round of the Indoor Enduro World Championships yesterday in Vigo. A third consecutive victory was enough for Blazusiak to crown himself the winner of the World Cup with one game to go. After his title in the AMA Endurocross in the autumn of 2009, the KTM rider once again underlines his absolute supremacy in this young discipline. It is also remarkable that Blazusiak won this title on a two-stroke KTM EXC 250!
There was also no limit to the Pole in Vigo. Just like in Sheffield and Genoa, he took the three series victories. Behind him, the battle for second place was between local hero Ivan Cervantes (KTM) and the young Swede Joakim Ljunggren (Husaberg). Ultimately it was the latter who would become the runner-up, with a difference of one point.
In the battle for the second podium step in the final standings of the World Cup, Cervantes is 13 points ahead of Ljunggren. Also notable is the 4e place in the World Cup standings of Graham Jarvis (Sherco). After all, the British trialist has successfully retrained as an indoor endurist.
The final part of the World Cup Indoor Enduro will take place in Madrid on January 30.
