Milko Potisek wins beach race Hossegor, Yentel Martens 2nd
The fourth round of the 24MX Courses-sur-sable championship in Hossegor was a perfect match for Milko Potisek. Yentel Martens, who was in the lead in the early stages, finished second. Axel Van de Sande was also at the front, the official Kawasaki rider finished third. With Jeffrey Dewulf in fifth, three Belgians made it into the top 5!
Daymond Martens took the holeshot but after 30 minutes of the race Yentel Martens took over command. Yentel was motivated to get his revenge after his disqualification last week. However, after about 45 minutes the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider was overtaken by Milko Potisek. Potisek further extended his lead and won. Yentel Martens, who finished second, set the fastest lap of the race. Holeshot author Daymond Martens disappeared from the match.
Killigan Delroeux (KTM FMX4ever) was strong yesterday in the juniors. Killigan challenged EMX125 champion Brian Moreau for 90 minutes until he retired with fuel problems. A regular Adrien Wagener saved the Belgian honor with a neat 9th place.
The French beach racing championship continues on January 7 and 7 in Grayan-et-l'Hôpital. The grand finale will take place on January 27 and 28 with the Enduro Pale of Le Touquet!
