The Junior World Cup will take place 'Down Under' in 2018
The youth will appreciate it 2018 have to look a little further from home than usual. This is how the junior world championship will take place Horsham, Australia be organised. This is an excellent opportunity for Australians, New Zealanders and others in that area to show themselves to the general public without having to incur major travel expenses. Obviously this is not good news for the Belgians, as the fmb-bmb already indicated at the beginning of this season that there is no more money to support national teams. Which makes the rule in the sporting regulations regarding no BC = no selection even more controversial, but that is another discussion.
Australia certainly has a history in the sport with Chad Reed, Bret Metcalfe, Andrew McFarlane, Jeff Leisk ... and the local riders will certainly not get in the way. The circuit itself is a typical Australian track, with no height difference it is still an animated, fast, challenging and flowing track. The infrastructure is also extremely modern, there are showers, a press room, a water reservoir so that watering can also be done during drought, a medical center, a catering area and so on. A beautiful circuit with everything you need. The opening round of the Australian Championship was recently organized on this very circuit and we are therefore fortunate that we have tons of footage.
