Kay Karssemakers scores both heats!
Under a bright sun, Kay Karssemakers performed well during his first race of the European 250cc Championship. The Husqvarna rider finished sixteenth and fifteenth on the beautiful circuit of Motorclub Oss. The 17-year-old Boxtel resident looks back on the adventure that started with a fifth training period in his group!
Kay Karssemakers:
''The start was reasonable and I started the first moto in the midfield. During the first lap I managed to make up a lot of ground and crossed the finish hump for the first time at twelfth. Unfortunately I crashed in the second laps and lost four places. I gave everything in the rest of the heat and managed to finish sixteenth. The start of the second moto was great and I was immediately in the leading group. I managed to hold on to sixth place for a long time, but then I crashed hard. Fortunately I was able to continue and scored again with fifteenth place. Too bad about the crashes, I had a lot of fun and was able to make a great debut in the EMX250.''
